Meet our staff
Rachel Rogers - Deputy Superintendent - Special Programs
She has worked for the Covington County School District for the past 18 years and has served in the capacities of both special education and general education teacher at the following schools: Collins High School and Covington County Alternative School. She served as The Covington County Alternative School Principal for three years and took on the position of Special Education Director at the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year. In 2012, the moniker of Deputy Superintendent was added to her position. She is a native of Covington County, having attended Seminary Attendance Center, married a native of Covington County and her children attend the Covington County School District.
Danvis Morgan - Administrative Assistant
She began working for CCSD in 1993 where she was employed as a teacher's assistant at Mt. Olive Elementary School. After two years, she moved into the computer lab. In 2010, she transferred to the central office as a special education administrative assistant and MSIS coordinator. She is beginning her 22nd year with Covington County Schools. She attended school at Mt. Olive Attendance Center and still resides in that community. She is married and has two sons and one grandson.
Donna Craft - Case Manager
She has been with the CCSD for the past 15 years. She has taught at Collins High School and at Seminary Attendance Center. For the past three years, she has taken on the job as Case Manager for the Special Programs office. Although not a native of Covington County, she did have family ties and chose to make her home here and raise her children. She is married and has two daughters, one who will be attending the University of Mississippi in the fall and one who currently is in 8th grade at Seminary Middle School.
Erika Daley - Speech Language Pathologist
She has worked for the Covington County School District since 2007, serving pre-school students who demonstrate speech errors. She continues to provide articulation therapy, as well as provide testing for those students suspected of having developmental delays. Most recently, she began serving as speech case manager and is centrally located at the Office of Special Programs. Although a native of Louisiana, Erika has made her home in Mississippi and has devoted her career to serving the needs of the students in Covington County.
Mary O'Neal - Intervention Manager
Her love of children, friends, family, and dogs has kept her going in the right direction for many years - 32 in the field of education, with 25 of those years working with the young people of Covington County - Seminary Baptist Kindergarten, Hopewell Elementary, Carver Middle School and now in the Special Services Department of our school district. She is never at a loss for words, especially if the conversation centers around her greatest loves, husband of 40 years, Jim; son, Jon and his wife Brandi (teacher at Seminary High School), and her beautiful 3 year old granddaughter, Claire. Jim and Mary reside in Petal, along with their two dogs, Lady and Joey. She never tires of making the drive from home to Covington County to work with the kids she refers to as her extended family.
